Eek! It’s finally here!! I’m so excited to share this review and giveaway with you. (So excited that I made a video!) SoapBox Soaps is an amazing company that I fell in love with before I even tried their products. Now that I’ve tested a few of their soaps, I can definitely say that I’m even more in love!
While their soaps smell and feel marvelous, my favorite thing about SoapBox Soaps is their mission. It’s simple, really:
For every bar of soap purchased, SoapBox Soaps donates a bar of soap, fresh water, or vitamins to a child in need. So far they’ve donated to families in shelters here in the US along with children from 10 other nations (Haiti, Ecuador, Honduras, Canada, Kenya, Uganda, Thailand, India, South Africa, and Zambia, to be exact).
I think it’s so cool that SoapBox Soaps has chosen to use their company to make a difference in the world, and I support them 100%! It also doesn’t hurt that their soaps happen to be amazing!
My favorite soap out of the ones I’ve tried so far is without a doubt their Black Bar Soap. I’m not going to lie, I pretty much hated bar soap before I tried this. Most bar soaps leave that nasty-feeling layer of soap scum on your body and the ultra-slipperiness make them a total pain in the butt. However, the Black Bar Soap doesn’t leave a layer behind and it’s not even slippery. It’s made from activated charcoal and all-natural essential oils and it smells SOOOO good!!! It turns out that activated charcoal is really good for you, and it’s been used for over 3,000 years for health and healing purposes. Since I’m a science nerd, I did a little research on activated charcoal and learned that it’s extremely effective at removing toxins from the environment, including your body (here’s a great article that sums it up nicely, if you’re interested).
The other two soaps I’ve been using are the Tea & Ginger Liquid Hand Soap and the Lavender Body Wash. Even though I talked up the Black Bar Soap quite a bit, these other two soaps I’ve been using are still phenomenal. They smell incredible! All of their products are also all-natural, which makes them even better. I’m really looking forward to using all of these up so I can try the other scents SoapBox Soaps has to offer :)
