Some of you may have noticed that this website was shut down last night and just recently started working again. Others of you may have just found this website and wondered why the formatting is janky and jumbled in some places. Annnnnd still others are just trying to figure out what the heck I’m talking about.
Please, allow me to explain.
Earlier this week, The Military Wife Life received so much traffic that Blogger couldn’t handle it, and the entire website was actually shut down for a short period of time. After that little incident, I figured it was time to take the self-hosted plunge I had been researching for a good while now.
I decided to move my little blog from Blogger to a self-hosted site all by myself, and I now know exactly what other bloggers mean when they refer to this process as one that takes “three days and two bottles of wine” to complete (can’t remember where I first heard that, sorry!). My domain had to be propagated by CSS domain HTML formatting IP address NameServers (just kidding, those are random internet terms), so that’s why this blog was just one huge error page last night and this morning. I’m sorry for any inconvenience and I really hope all of this waiting and working pays off for you guys, too!
Unfortunately, I don’t have all the time in the world to sit around fixing the blog this weekend, but I can assure you that any kinks you run into or any weird formatting errors you may see will all be worked out sooner than later.
As for the current giveaways, I’m extending the deadline by two days to make up for any downtime the blog had.
I’m looking forward to getting the kinks worked out of this new website design!
Have a great weekend and stay lovely,
